The Ragin Cajuns needed to bounce back after a tough loss on Friday night and did just that with an extra innings win over South Alabama (37-15, 20-6 SBC).
The Cajuns got on the board early with Brenn Conrad hitting a two-run double down the right field line in the top of the first to get the early 2-0 edge.
The Jaguars finally got on the board in the bottom of the seventh with a double to left center from Ben Gann that would score Jared Barnes. Later in the inning, Adam Wolfe pinch hit for Matt Bolger and sent a two run bomb flying over the left field wall to take a 3-2 lead. But Kennon Fontenot tied things up in the top of the eighth when he scored off of a wild pitch.
The score would remain tied until the top of the 10th when Fontenot hit a single to center field than allowed Ishmael Edwards came across home plate. But the Jags would knot things up again in the bottom half of the inning with a solo shot to right center field from Travis Swaggerty.
Kyle Clement would put the nail in the coffin in the top of the 11th with a solo shot of his own to right center field to even up the series at one game apiece.
Dylan Moore improved to 6-1 on the year allowing two runs off of three hits, walked one, and struck out five batters.
The Cajuns (31-19, 16-9 SBC) will try to win the rubber match on Sunday with first pitch set for 1 pm.
