The oppressive, dangerous summer heat has come to Acadiana. Temperatures in the 100-degree range and heat indexes of 115 or more are making hydration critical. Catholic Charities of Acadiana is holding a bottled water drive. Citizens and businesses are asked to donate. Donations are being accepted at the Catholic Charities of Acadiana RegionalDisaster Warehouse at 403 Ambassador Caffery Parkway from 8 am – 4 pm.
