Chiasson on Local O&G, Entertainment Industries

Posted by benlove on March 26, 2020 in Blogs, Featured, Latest News

With COVID-19 hitting the economy hard, there are a lot of questions about what happens when life returns to some form of normalcy.

Matt Chaisson, CEO of Orbit Energy, joined Bumper to Bumper Sports on Tuesday and talked about the economic outlook for both the oil and gas industry along with the entertainment industries.

“We had a meeting with a lot of the Louisiana independent oil and gas guys through LOGA (Louisiana Oil and Gas Association) and we were on the phone with Bill Cassidy, Paige Cortez and a bunch of the people in Baton Rouge and Washington D.C.” Chaisson said, “There are a lot of talks about some stimulus and help for the independents and None of this has come to fruition just yet but we are lucky that our local and federal governments realize the impact that this perfect storm has caused all the way down to families that are directly affected by the oil and gas industry. “

He went on to say that he was cautiously optimistic about the oil and gas industry turning around, but it will take the COVID-19 pandemic to come to an end across the world before the economy starts to return to normal.
