The nationally ranked Louisiana Ragin Cajuns softball team placed seven players on the All-Sun Belt Softball Team, which led the conference. Mihyia Davis was named Player of the Year, Brooke Ellestad was named Newcomer of the Year, and Gerry Glasco was named Sun Belt Coach of the Year.

This is the fifth consecutive season that Louisiana has had the Player of the Year, joining Karly Heath, Melissa Mayeaux, Ciara Bryan, and Alissa Dalton. 2024 is also the fifth time in the last six that Louisiana has had the Newcomer of the Year, while Glasco was named Coach of the Year for the third time.

Davis and Ellestad were joined on the First Team by junior pitcher Sam Landry while Chloe Riassetto, Sam Roe, Alexa Langeliers, and Laney Credeur all received Second-Team nods.

Louisiana has now placed seven or more players on the team for the fifth straight season under Glasco, increasing the total number to 44. This is repeat honors for Landry and Langeliers and Davis has now been named to the first team both of her seasons at Louisiana.

Davis hit .419 in conference play with 11 multi-hit games. Overall, the sophomore leadoff hitter hit .421 in non-conference against the toughest non-conference strength of schedule in the country. She is also the only player in the SBC to reach 80 base hits, getting a hit in 51 of 56 games.

Glasco led Louisiana to an incredible turnaround after a 9-12 start, but a win on March 3 at then-top-ranked Oklahoma propelled the Cajuns to a 31-4 record the last of the way and secured their fifth consecutive regular-season SBC title and 25th straight 40-win season.
