Dustin Poirier, FIGHTING! out of Lafayette, has signed on for a non-title lightweight bout to take place on the UFC 199 card. Poirier’s opponent will be the 23-6 Bobby Green. Emanating from The Forum in Los Angeles, the worldwide pay per view will be headlined by a middleweight championship rematch between Luke Rockhold and former champion Chris Weidman. An epic night from a legendary arena it is sure to be as the batamweight title is also on the line when Dominick Cruz defends against fan favorite and overall rad dude Urijah Faber.
Lafayette does not only have light heavyweight Daniel Cormier to be proud of as Poirier is 6-1 in his last seven fights and rapidly climbing the rankings of the lightweight division.
