Keon Coleman is headed to Tallahassee.
The former Opelousas Catholic three-sport star and Michigan State wide receiver has officially transferred to play at Florida State.
Coleman made the announcement on social media with a post that read “And the jounrey continues… #gonoles.”
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Coleman led the Michigan State Spartans in all three major receiving categories during the 2022 season. Coleman hauled in 58 receptions for 798 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns.
In two seasons (22 games) playing for the Big 10 program, Coleman recorded 65 receptions for 848 yards and 8 touchdowns.
At Opelousas Catholic, Coleman was a two-time first-team all-state selection for the Vikings, including scoring 22 touchdowns during his junior season. He was ranked as a three-star athlete by the three major recruiting services 247Sports, ESPN.com and Rivals.com.
Coleman — who played both football and basketball his freshman year at Michigan State — also had received scholarship offers out of high school from Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, Baylor and Florida State by current head coach Mike Norvell.
Coleman was recruited heavily by both FSU and Ole Miss once he entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. He will have two seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining.
