World No. 1 and Texas native Scottie Scheffler had a strong performance on “Moving Day” to take a share of the lead going into the final round on Easter Sunday at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Scheffler is joined at the top of the leaderboard at -9 by David Skinns, Stephan Jaegar, Alejandro Tosti, and Thomas Detry. The 36-hole leader, Tony Finau, is two shots behind at -7.

“Yeah, feel like I did a lot of stuff really well out there today,” Scheffler said following his round Saturday. “I feel like I played better than my score. I had a few shots I didn’t really get rewarded for and somewhat punished for some pretty good shots. But overall, yeah, it was nice to finish with those two birdies. Hit a really good shot into 16, a good shot into 17. Yeah, felt like I did a lot of things well today.”

The fourth round will feature a tight race to the top of the leaderboard as the five co-leaders will tee off in the 11:15-11:30 am window.
