The unbeaten Florida Gators have had a wrench thrown into their system.
The Gators quarterback Will Grier has been suspended for the remainder of the season for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
Grier, who has started all six games in 2015, has thrown for 1,204 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only three interceptions this season.
The Gators will be putting their hopes of continuing their undefeated season with Treon Harris. Harris, a sophomore, saw action in four games and played in nine games in 2014 last season when he replaced Jeff Driskel.
Grier’s suspension comes at an inopportune time with the Gators having key games coming in the next few weeks. Florida will be facing LSU on Saturday and SEC East foe Georgia the following Saturday.
