In the new world of NIL and the transfer portal for college football, the phrase “the rich get richer” couldn’t be more accurate.
Former Jennings High star and Florida Gators running back Trevor Etienne has committed to play at Georgia in 2024, according to multiple reports.
This season saw Etienne sharing touches with former Louisiana Ragin Cajuns back Montrell Johnson Jr in Billy Napier’s offense. On the year, Etienne had 753 yards and eight touchdowns on 131 carries, nearly similar numbers from his freshman season in Gainesville.
Etienne was a three-star prospect out of Jennings High School, following the footsteps of his brother, Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Etienne Jr. After high school, Etienne was recruited by several of the top programs in the country and eventually landed at Florida. Now, after two seasons, he will look to explode on the scene in Athens as potentially the top option for Kirby Smart on offense.
