Sage Ryan will finish his college career in Oxford.

The former Lafayette Christian Academy star and LSU defensive back has committed to playing for the Ole Miss Rebels. Hayes Fawcett with On3 Sports reported over the weekend that Ryan had committed to play for Lane Kiffin in Oxford.

The 5-foot-11, 201-pound redshirt junior will have one season of eligibility remaining.

Ryan brings plenty of experience and versatility. During his career at LSU, he started games at safety, nickel, and cornerback. Ryan appeared in 43 games (21 starts) while recording 113 tackles (65 solo), 6.5 tackles for a loss, 5 forced fumbles, 14 pass deflections, and one interception in four seasons with the Tigers.

During the 2024 season, Ryan tied a career-high in tackles (42) and also had career-highs in pass deflections (6) and forced fumbles (3). Ryan also recorded his first interception in the regular-season finale against Oklahoma.

Ryan was one of the most heralded prep prospects coming out of LCA, as he was rated a five-star recruit by 247 Sports and Rivals and was a four-star prospect by ESPN. He ended his prep career by being named Mr. Football by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
