After waiting his turn in the minors, former LSU baseball star Kramer Robertson is headed to the show.
The news comes prior to the team’s series opener against the Baltimore Orioles and will be a part of the starting lineup in tonight’s contest. To make room for the former fourth-round draft pick, the Cardinals have optioned shortstop Paul DeJong to their Triple-A affiliate Memphis.
Robertson was batting .225 with a .380 on-base percentage for the Memphis Redbirds, racking up three homers and six stolen bases on the year while playing 2nd base, 3rd base and shortstop.
