Keon Coleman has hauled in his first honor in the NFL.

The former Opelousas Catholic star and current Buffalo Bills wide receiver has been selected as the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week.

Coleman recorded a career-high 125 receiving yards on only four receptions in Buffalo’s 34-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Coleman’s receiving yardage total was the most by a Bills rookie since Sammy Watkins had 127 yards during a game in 2014.

Coleman is also one of three rookie wide receivers with 125 or more receiving yards in a game this season. The others being Arizona’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and New York Giants’ Malik Nabers.

The second round draft pick out of Florida State currently ranks fourth among NFL rookies in receiving yards with 326.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Coleman was sensational in his one season playing for Seminoles. In 2023, he hauled in 50 receptions for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns, and was named a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist.

Before playing at FSU, Coleman played two seasons at Michigan State and led the Spartans in all three major receiving categories during the 2022 season. That season, Coleman hauled in 58 receptions for 798 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.

Coleman also played basketball his freshman year at Michigan State.

During his prep career at Opelousas Catholic, Coleman was a two-time first-team all-state selection for the Vikings, including scoring 22 touchdowns during his junior season. He was ranked as a three-star athlete by the three major recruiting services 247Sports, ESPN.com, and Rivals.com.

Buffalo (5-2, 2-2) plays at Seattle (4-3, 2-2) on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m.
