Former voice of the Houston Astros Bill Brown, also known as “Brownie,” joined 103.7 The Game’s morning show, RP3 & Company, on Wednesday to share what he has learned during his broadcast career and the latest in MLB.
Brown worked for the Astros from 1987 to 2016 and he was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. Brown was also inducted into the Media Wall of Honor at Minute Maid Park.
“At one point in my career, I decided I wanted to try to be like Ray Scott,” Brown said. “It’s absolutely not the way to go to be someone else. That was a very important lesson.”
