As college football season draws near, the preseason award watch lists are starting to come out and the LSU Tigers have a few players on a pair of those lists.
As expected, Leonard Fournette is on the Maxwell Award Watch List. The Maxwell Award is for the best player in college football. He is the sole Tiger and is coming off a stellar sophomore season where he amassed almost 2,000 yards rushing and 22 TDs in 2015.
A trio of Tigers were named to the Bednarik award, one of which was a semifinalist in 2015. Kendall Beckwith is one of the headliners for the award for the best defensive player in college football after having a great season that saw him be a semifinalist for the award. Beckwith is joined by fellow Tigers Jamal Adams and Tre’Davious White.
