Jake Fraley put the Tigers on top early with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first and Jared Poche allowed just one run in six innings while tying a career high with eight strikeouts as LSU defeated Utah Valley 7-1 late Friday night. Due to weather delays, Rice & Southeastern Louisiana are playing Saturday morning. LSU will play the winner of that game tonight at 7pm.
