If it has been a while since you hit the open waters and cast a line, this is the weekend to rediscover fishing.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announces a free fishing weekend this Saturday and Sunday. This is a chance to dust off the old pole, reel in a catfish, and spend time outside. The weather is forecasted to be sunny and dry both days so it’s a good time to get out on the water. You can also use this weekend to introduce the hobby to a younger relative and show them the ropes. Louisiana is full fishing spots so take advantage of this opportunity to fish for free.

If you need more information, visit the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website. Click here.
