Jets quarterback Geno Smith has been injured in a fight in the New York Jets locker room and will likely miss the start of the season.
According to Jets head coach Todd Bowles announced that Smith suffered a broken jaw by Jets linebacker IK Enemkpali. Enemkpali was cut from the team shortly after.
The 2013 second round draft pick out of West Virginia is expected to be out 6-10 weeks. The Jets will most likely be without Smith for the beginning of the regular season, which is five weeks away.
This leaves the Jets with three QBs on the depth chart: veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, rookie Bryce Petty, and Jake Heaps.
This situation brings up a big question as to whether or not the NFL should start cracking down harder on fights between teammates.
