Fresh off his first Super Regional appearance at Louisiana, it does not appear that Gerry Glasco is content. The Cajuns added two impressive transfers on Wednesday in Lexie Delbrey and Sam Roe, both coming from the Florida Gators.
Delbrey is a pitcher from Bainbridge, Georgia. She had an impressive freshman season with a 2.26 ERA. As a sophomore, she followed that up by recording a 3.15 ERA over 80 innings pitched. Delbrey figures to factor into the pitching rotation with the departures of players like Meghan Schorman, Kandra Lamb, and Karly Heath.
Roe is a catcher from Destin, Florida. Roe also has plenty of experience, playing in 103 games across two seasons at Florida. Additionally, she hit .304 this season in 112 at-bats.
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will look to improve upon an impressive 2023 campaign and will likely expect both of these former Gators to contribute in the 2024 season.
