If you have been putting off getting a mask, now is the time definitely to get one or have one made for yourself and everyone in your household. Governor Edwards is calling for all people in Louisiana to “mask up” while out in public.
According to a report, Governor Edwards announced that all Louisiana residents should have their faces covered when in public places. Edwards says wearing a mask while out and about will help minimize the spread of COVID-19 between people who may be asymptomatic. Edwards also said that anyone who is experiencing symptoms should stay home and self-quarantine.
The Governor also discussed the matter of glove-wearing. Edwards recommended to not wear gloves. Apparently, if an individual becomes accustomed to wearing gloves they are more to likely wash their hands less often.
Governor Edwards is expected to announce next week on whether or not the state will reopen by May 1st. The current stay-at-home order is set to end on April 30th.
