Former New Orleans Saints cornerback Jabari Greer has been named to the Saints Hall of Fame.

Greer will be the lone player in this year’s class as the news was announced on Thursday. The others joining will be former video graphers Steve Paretti and Bob Parkinson, who are recipients this year of the Joe Gemilli Fleur-de-lis award for contributions to the Saints organization.

Greer played 10 years in the NFL after going undrafted in the 2004 Draft. His first five seasons were spent in Buffalo with the Bills where he didn’t start a majority of games until 2007. In his time in upstate New York, Greer intercepted a total of four passes for two touchdowns and recorded 28 passes defensed while making a total of 156 tackles, and a forced fumble.

After joining New Orleans in 2009, Greer helped elevate the Saints to four playoff berths, including a Super Bowl win during the 2009-2010 season. In those five seasons with the Black and Gold, he played in 63 games with 60 starts and posted 290 stops (227 solos), nine interceptions, 68 passes defended, one forced fumble, and one recovery.
