There is no shortage of talented football players who hail from Southwest Louisiana who are seizing opportunities in the National Football League. Here is a brief look at how former area prep stars from the 3-3-7 fared this past weekend in the NFL. The area players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

TREY AMOS
POSITION:

PRO TEAM: WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
HIGH SCHOOL: CATHOLIC HIGH-NEW IBERIA
WEEK 18 RECAP: The former Panthers star did not play in a win over the Eagles as he was on IR with a fractured fibula. SEASON STATS: 32 tackles (19 solo), 6 pass deflections, 1 TFL.

JACK BECH

HIGH SCHOOL: ST. THOMAS MORE
WEEK 18 RECAP: The former Cougar star did not record a reception in the team’s regular-season victory over Kansas City.
