There is no shortage of talented football players who hail from Southwest Louisiana who are seizing opportunities in the National Football League. Here is a brief look at how former area prep stars from the 3-3-7 fared this past weekend in the NFL. The area players are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

TREY AMOS
POSITION:
CB
PRO TEAM: WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
HIGH SCHOOL: CATHOLIC HIGH-NEW IBERIA
WEEK 9 RECAP: The former Panthers star recorded seven tackles (four solo) in the team’s 38-14 loss to Seattle.
SEASON STATS: 30 tackles (17 solo), 6 pass deflections, 1 TFL.
NEXT UP: Sunday vs. Detroit

JACK BECH
POSITION:

PRO TEAM: LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
HIGH SCHOOL: ST. THOMAS MORE
WEEK 9 RECAP: The former Cougar star did not record a stat in the team’s 30-29 overtime loss to Jacksonville.

KAYSHON BOUTTE
