Jameis Winston Staying in Big Easy

Posted by jamesmeche on March 21, 2022 in Blogs, Featured, James's Blog, Latest News, New Orleans Saints, What's Hot, What's New
Jameis Winston signed a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints Monday afternoon.

The New Orleans Saints have found their starting quarterback in Jameis Winston for the 2022-2023 season. The deal is worth $28 million, over two years with $21 million guaranteed.

The news was initially reported by the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, and further confirmed by Ian Rapoport and Jeremy Fowler.

Winston, in his sevens starts for the Black and Gold during 2021 season, included a 5-2 record, 14-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio, and just under 1200 passing yards.

The Heisman Trophy winner and National Champion is still recovering from an ACL and MCL tear that he suffered last Halloween (October 31st) versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Caesar’s Superdome.
