Trevor Etienne is joining his brother in the NFL.
The Carolina Panthers selected the former Jennings High star and Georgia running back in Saturday’s fourth round of the NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Etienne was taken with the No. 114 overall pick.
The 5-foot-9, 198-pound Etienne is coming off a lone season as the leading running back for the Georgia Bulldogs. He appeared in 10 games, rushing for 609 yards, averaging five yards per carry, and nine rushing touchdowns. He also had 32 receptions for 194 yards.
Before UGA, Etienne played two seasons for the Florida Gators. In 2022, he earned Freshman All-SEC honors as he appeared in 13 games, rushing for 719 yards, averaging 6.1 yards per carry, with six rushing touchdowns. He had a season-high 129 yards on 17 carries against rival Florida State.
Etienne followed that up by rushing for 753 yards, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, with eight touchdowns. His biggest highlight that season was scoring a career-high three rushing touchdowns with 124 all-purpose yards against LSU.
Etienne was a four-star recruit coming out of Jennings High, where he earned all-state honors and played in the 2022 All-American Bowl. He is also the younger brother of former Clemson star and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne.
