Jordy Hultberg Show: Warren Morris – Shot Heard Around the World

Posted by codychustz on April 22, 2016 in Featured, Latest News, The Jordy Hultberg Show

That’s right folks, the man himself Warren Morris joined us just a little over 24 hours before he and the rest of the 1996 LSU National Champion Baseball team is honored at The Box on Saturday. Morris is responsible for the most incredible finish in NCAA Baseball Championship History. He blasted a screaming line drive walk off HomeRun over the right field wall in Omaha to lift the Tigers over the Miami Hurricanes as the best college baseball team in all the land.

We all remember Miami SS Alex Cora laying face down on the grass crying once the ball left the park. All the while Warren is speeding around the bases with both hands raised high in the air before stepping on Home Plate and solidifying the 1996 LSU Baseball Tigers as National Champions.

Listen here to find out all the emotions that were going through the head of Morris, it is quite an incredible story. One little bit he revealed to us is that, off the bat, he thought he was hustling for a double. When you hear what made him finally realize he had won the game, it will tell you all you need to know about the one and only Tiger great Warren Morris. Enjoy!
