When it comes to NBA Free Agency for the New Orleans Pelicans, their biggest priority was to re-sign Jrue Holiday. Both parties were able to come to an agreement early on a Saturday morning.
Holiday and the Pelicans have agreed to a 5-year, $126 million contract as first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski. There are some bonuses in his contract that could raise Holiday’s deal to $150 million.
There is also a player option on the final year of the contract to give Holiday an out if he chooses to exercise it.
The next move for the Pelicans is to get another weapon at point guard to help out Holiday. The targets that the Pelicans have right now is veteran Ty Lawson and former Los Angeles Laker Nick Young.
