LSU head football coach Brian Kelly and his wife Paqui have committed to the “Kelly Family Million Dollar Match Challenge” to help the athletic program with funding, the couple announced on Friday.
The Kellys will match every dollar donated to the Bayou Traditions Football Fund up to $1 million through February 5th, 2025 with a donation to the Tiger Athletic Foundation’s AD Excellence Fund.
“While we are not permitted to financially support our NIL efforts directly, Paqui and I can certainly match this tremendous fanbase’s generosity by investing in the future of LSU Athletics through the Tiger Athletic Foundation,” Kelly said about the decision.
The Tigers are currently preparing for their bowl game against Baylor on January 31st, but have already begun shaping up the 2025 roster. Today, Jack Pyburn committed as a transfer from Florida, adding to a growing list of transfers that have committed to the Tigers for 2025.
The transfer portal will remain open until December 28th.
The LSU Tigers take on the Baylor Bears in the Texas Bowl on December 31st at 2:30 PM. The game can be heard on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette 104.1 Lake Charles.
