One of my favorite things about living in Acadiana is how passionate our community is about art. From the Art Walk events and music education initiatives, to Festival International – our city is infused with creativity and art. As a costume/prop maker and former UL art student, I’m always excited to find events like these in our own backyard – it’s The Lafayette Mini Maker Faire, this Saturday March 30, from 10a-3p… it’s kid-friendly, and it’s FREE to attend!

WHAT IS IT?
The Lafayette Mini Maker Faire (hosted by the Lafayette Science Museum) is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects. If you’re interested, check out their Facebook event page!
