The Lafayette Regional Airport recently received a few big honors at a conference held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Lafayette Regional Airport was awarded the Commercial Service Airport of the Year at the Louisiana Airport Managers Conference. This award is given to an airport that has successfully managed maintenance inspection issues, safety-related features, and has made an impact on aviation through safety improvements.
Lafayette Regional’s Executive Director, Steven Picou, was also recognized. He was given the David Slayter Memorial Louisiana Aviation Professional of the Year Award.
This ceremony happens every year. The conference selects hardworking airports and individuals for outstanding achievement and leadership in aviation.
