This week on Lundi Love, we are showing some love to Randol’s Restaurant.
Randol’s Restaurant is a Cajun Restaurant Dancehall on Kaliste Saloom Road. They have been in business for more than 35 years. At Randol’s, not only is the food authentic and tasty, but there is a Cajun band playing every night. And the bands that get to play there are good! Artists such as Donny Broussard, Sheryl Cormier, Dylan Aucoin, and others. This is useful information, especially if you have friends or family from out-of-town that want to get the full Louisiana experience. Randol’s is the place to go. You can show up on a Tuesday, dance and eat in a family-friendly place.
Crawfish is in season right now. Randol’s serves up huge crawfish. This is actually my favorite part of Randol’s. They serve delicious premium fresh tasting crawfish. Frank Randol picks up a truck full of live crawfish from local farmers every day. And he only gets the best. Once the crawfish reaches the restaurant it goes down a conveyor belt so workers can select the premium crawfish for the restaurant. Randols serves boiled crawfish, crawfish cooked in a gravy and the restaurant even sells packaged crawfish. Just in case guests want to take some of this premium crawfish home. I like the boiled crawfish served up at Randol’s because it is seasoned just right. Some places over seasoned their boiled crawfish and it ends up burning my hands.
The atmosphere of Randol’s is warm and inviting. The service is full of smiles. (Why wouldn’t they smile? They get to enjoy live music every night at work.) This restaurant strives to keep the spirit of Acadiana culture alive.
Randol’s is also the home of our television show on KDCG TV, Les Bons Temps Rouler Music Show. It airs every Sunday at 2:30 pm and Tuesdays at 6:00 pm. Check it out.
