The University of Louisiana and the University of Buffalo agreed to a home-and-home series in 2023 and 2030, announced by the university Thursday.

The first contest will be held Sept. 23 at Cajun Field, with the return trip being on Sept. 21, 2030, at Buffalo.

“We are very excited to host Buffalo in 2023,” Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. “I’m very grateful to my colleagues at Old Dominion, Buffalo, and Texas A&M-Commerce for their willingness to make this possible.”

The game puts the finishing touches on Louisiana’s non-conference schedule after New Mexico State had to cancel their matchup with the Cajuns because of their move to Conference USA.

The meeting in 2023 will be the first time the two schools meet on the gridiron in history.

2022 season ticket holds can renew for 2023 by heading to ragincajuns.com/tickets. Renewal packets are also being mailed to the address on your account.
