The schedule is set for the 2022-2023 Louisiana Men’s Basketball program.
The non-conference portion was unveiled today, and it includes in-state foes, an invitational, and road trips against marquee programs.
The Cajuns will open the season on November 7 against Centenary College before playing four more non-conference games in the Cajundome. Also featured in that slate are Louisiana Tech and Samford.
Louisiana will travel to Asheville, N.C. on November 11-13 for the Asheville Championship, opening that invitational against Harvard before playing either Elon or East Tennessee State.
The Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech will come to the Cajundome on November 17th. Louisiana is 5-4 against Tech since 2013, including 3-1 inside the Cajundome. The Cajuns will also host Loyola-New Orleans, winners of the 2021 NAIA National Championship, on November 29.
On November 22, Bob Marlin and Louisiana will travel to Dallas to play SMU before continuing the road trip at Drake on the 26th.
December opens with a contest at UNO’s Lakefront Arena to play the Privateers in a matinee game. The Cajuns will then return to the friendly confines to host Samford (Dec 10th) and Louisiana Christian, most recently known as Louisiana College, on December 12th.
Finally, Louisiana will travel once again to close out non-conference with an I-10 battle with McNeese on December 15th before they continue their westward trek to the brand new Moody Center in Austin to take on Chris Beard and the Longhorns.
