The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns earned the No. 1 seed for the Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship.

Louisiana (41-11, 23-4 SBC) wrapped up the regular season on a nine-game winning streak, including a sweep of ULM over the weekend, to secure its third-straight and 18th all-time SBC regular-season title.

That also gave Gerry Glasco’s team the top seed in the SBC Tournament, and a first-round bye, which will take place this week at Jaguar Field at South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.

UL will face the winner of the No. 8 ULM and No. 9 Coastal Carolina game. The Ragin’ Cajuns will open up the tournament on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

No. 2 seed South Alabama, No. 3 seed Texas State, No. 4 seed Troy, No. 5 seed UTA and No. 6 seed App State also earned first-round byes into the eight-team double-elimination portion of the bracket.

A pair of single-elimination games between No. 10 seed Georgia Southern and No. 7 seed Georgia State and No. 9 seed Coastal Carolina and No. 8 seed ULM will open tournament play on Tuesday.

All 16 tournament games will be nationally broadcast on ESPN+, concluding with the championship game at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Tickets are still available and start at $7.
