Up until last season, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns ended every season under Mark Hudspeth in the New Orleans Bowl. The last few weeks of the regular season seemed like they were destined to not be bowl eligible, but after a 30-3 win against UL Monroe it became a reality that this team would be bowl eligible once again.
“Y’all ready to do it again this year?” is what Billy Ferrante, executive director of the New Orleans Bowl asked the Ragin Cajuns which was met with a resounding cheer by the team, coaches, and members of the RCAF.
It was later announced by the New Orleans Bowl twitter account that they will be taking on Southern Miss at 8 pm in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

According to head coach Mark Hudspeth, “Going to the New Orleans Bowl never gets old”. This will be the Cajuns fifth appearance in six years, all under Hud. This will be the first time for the Golden Eagles since 2005 when they took down Arkansas State 31-19, which was played inside Cajun Field due to Hurricane Katrina.
