After a tough loss in the Sun Belt Championship Game to Appalachian State, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns are headed to a familiar venue for their bowl game.
The Cajuns are headed to Mobile, Alabama where they’ll take part in the 21st annual Lending Tree Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The team last played at Ladd-Peebles on November 16th when they beat the South Alabama Jaguars by the score of 37-27.
The postseason bowl appearance will be the ninth in program history and the second under Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year Billy Napier. Louisiana holds an official record of 4-2 in bowl games.
The Cajuns will be playing the MAC Champion Miami of Ohio on January 6th, 2020 with kickoff set for 6:30 pm and broadcast on ESPN. This will be the third time in program history that these two teams have faced off with the Redhawks winning both of their previous matchups in 1991 (27-14) and 1993 (29-28).
Louisiana will be seeking their first bowl win since Dec. 20, 2014, when they defeated Nevada, 16-3 at the 2014 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
