After having premium parking for the last two seasons, the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns announced on Wednesday some changes to the parking setup to create ease of entry and convenience for the fans.
The new plan, which will take effect for the 2020 baseball season, will have the main parking lots across from Russo Park will be available for free to all fans on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“We are constantly looking for ways to improve the game day experiences for our fans and this parking plan will do just that,” Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard said. “We listened to and heard our fans. These adjustments, along with our fan-friendly concessions, will provide for a great experience in one of the best venues in the country.”
The curbed parking lots adjacent to Russo Park will be for premium-seat holders, Founder’s Lot Patrons, and accessible parking.
Another part of the plan is the return of a dedicated tailgating space outside the gates of Russo Park, which is free to all fans. This includes RV owners that can set up for free with the area including a row of transformers.
