The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns have settled their scheduling issue with New Mexico State.
After playing in 2018 in Lafayette, the Cajuns were scheduled to return the trip to Las Cruces in 2019, but the game was pushed back to 2020 for a scheduling conflict (canceled due to COVID). There was a second home and home scheduled for 2023 (Lafayette) and 2024 (Las Cruces) but New Mexico State joined Conference USA, forcing more scheduling issues and those games were never played.
According to FBSSchedules.com, the Aggies will pay Louisiana $225,000 and have scheduled a trip to Lafayette in 2030. This matchup will be the 12th overall between the two schools with the Cajuns holding a 6-5 advantage.
