Matt McMahon’s group for 2023-2024 now knows their non-conference schedule for the upcoming season that starts in November.
Kansas State (Dec 9) is the marquee matchup in the non-conference portion as the Wildcats, fresh off their Elite Eight appearance, will be the first Power 5 team to play in the PMAC in the months of November to December since December 2015. There will also be eight home games and a public exhibition for the first time since 2016.
LSU and Kansas State met last year in the Cayman Islands Classic, with the Wildcats winning 61-59 on a controversial ending.
The seasons open with Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 6) and Nicholls State (Nov. 10) visiting the PMAC as well as North Florida (Nov. 24). The Nicholls and North Florida matchups will be the night before LSU hosts Florida and Texas A&M in football.
The Tigers will play in the Charleston Classic, an event put on by ESPN, when they face Dayton on November 16. They will then play either St. John’s or North Texas the following day before the final games are played on November 19.
As a part of the SEC/ACC Challenge, LSU will travel to Syracuse to battle the Orangeman in the JMA Wireless Dome on November 28. McMahon’s team will also play inside the Toyota Center in Houston against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, December 16.
LSU’s public exhibition will take place on October 30 when they host Louisiana Christian at the PMAC. Teams are allowed either two closed scrimmages or one public exhibition against Division I opponents.
Times and broadcasting information will be announced at a later date.
