The LSU Tigers bounced back after a tough overtime loss on Sunday against Houston on Wednesday with a 78-57 win over Gardner-Webb (4-7, 1-1 Big South).

The Tigers completely dominated the first half with the Tigers coming out strong with a 11-3 run early on and kept the momentum rolling holding Gardner-Webb to 23 points in the first half.

After both teams came back after halftime, it seemed like no one could buy a bucket with neither team scoring until a little more than three minutes into the second half. LSU played sloppy throughout the second frame, but had enough of a lead to not worry about a major rally by the Bulldogs.

It was another day, another double-double for Ben Simmons. The freshman phenom was relatively quiet with the double-double though racking up 11 points 12 boards, four assists, one block, and one steal on the night. Fellow freshman Antonio Blakeney was right there with Simmons with 11 points and four rebounds.

Harold McBride led the Bulldogs with 19 points, five boards, three assists, and three steals on the night.

The Tigers (5-4) will stay at the PMAC to take on Oral Roberts on December 3rd for a midday matchup with tipoff set for 2 pm.
