The LSU Eunice baseball team remains atop the polls.
The Bengals are ranked as the No. 1 team in all three major polls. LSUE sits atop the weekly rankings from the NJCAA, the JBB and PBR JUCO.
Dating back to 2018, Jeff Willis’ program has held the number one ranking in the official NJCAA Division II polls 34 of the 40 polls taken. The Bengals received all eight first-place votes in the third installment of the regular season Top 20.
LSUE is also ranked number four according to Perfect Game’s Junior College baseball poll, consisting of teams across all divisions and affiliations.
LSUE heads into the weekend with a 20-4 overall record after a series split at Wharton County Junior College.
LSUE will head to Baton Rouge on Friday for a three-way doubleheader against the Baton Rouge Community College Bears and Pearl River Community College.
LSUE returns home Sunday, March 20 for a doubleheader with Baton Rouge CC. First pitch for the first game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Both games can be seen live on the LSUE Digital Network presented by Opelousas General Health.
