The LSU men’s basketball team has been selected to finish 14th while the Tigers’ women’s basketball team was picked 3rd in the Southeastern Conference Preseason Poll.

Matt McMahon’s men’s team finished last season 17-16 overall with a 9-9 mark in SEC play. That marked a three-win overall improvement and a seven-win improvement in conference play.

They open the 2024-25 season with an exhibition against Loyola on October 29th before facing ULM inside the PMAC on November 6th to open the regular season.

Kim Mulkey’s women’s team finished last season with a 31-6 mark and a trip to the Elite Eight. They were unable to defend their NCAA Championship but did once again make a big run in the NCAA Tournament.

They have now won 65 games combined in the last two seasons and will look to contend again in 2024-25. They open with two exhibitions before hosting Eastern Kentucky for the regular-season opener on November 4th inside the PMAC.

You can listen to LSU men’s games on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles, and the women’s games can be heard on Mustang 107.1.
