BATON ROUGE — Joe Burrow has picked up yet another Southeastern Conference weekly honor.
For the fourth time this season, LSU’s senior quarterback was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after his performance on Saturday night against No. 7 Florida. Burrow completed 21-of-24 pass for 293 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ 42-28 win over the visiting Gators.
In Saturday’s victory, Burrow also extended his own school record of consecutive games with at least 20 completions to now nine straight. Burrow now also has 25 passing touchdowns this season which is three shy of tying the program single-season record.
Burrow wasn’t the only Tiger to pick up honors from the league on Monday.
Derek Stingley Jr. was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after recording six tackles and one interception in the win. The interception was Stingley’s second straight game with a pick in the red zone.
LSU returns to action on Saturday at Mississippi State. Kickoff is set for 2:30.
More Day Games Set
LSU will be kicking off during the day once again.
The SEC announced on Monday morning the start times and networks for the slate of games for Saturday, Oct. 26. LSU is hosting Auburn and that game will be the national afternoon game on CBS. Kickoff is set for 2:30.
After playing first three games with 6:30 kickoffs, LSU has played back-to-back contests at 11 a.m., last week’s Florida game was at 7, with this week’s game at Mississippi State and the following week at Auburn at 2:30.
