The LSU Tigers landed in the Top 10 of the initial College Football Playoff Rankings.
LSU (6-2) sits at No. 10 in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee Rankings which were released on Tuesday night.
LSU is one of five teams from the Southeastern Conference in the rankings, and one of four ranked in the Top 10.
Tennessee (8-0) is ranked No. 1, followed by Ohio State (8-0) at No. 2, defending national champion Georgia (8-0) came in at No. 3 while Clemson (8-0) sits at No. 4.
The Volunteers and Bulldogs meet on the field Saturday.
Michigan (8-0) is the first team out of the Top Four as the Wolverines were placed at No. 5, while Alabama (7-1) came in at No. 6 heading into its matchup Saturday at LSU.
Kickoff for the Alabama-LSU game is set for 6 p.m. and can be heard on THE GAME 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles.
The rest of the Top 10 is No. 7 TCU (8-0), No. 8 Oregon (7-1), and No. 9 Southern California (7-1).
The Tulane Green Wave (7-1) come in at No. 19 and are the highest ranked Group of Five team in the rankings.
