LSU was ranked second in the first College Football playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Now, these rankings will undoubtedly change as we get closer to the final games of the season, but it makes this Saturday’s matchup between the Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama was ranked fourth in the rankings, making this matchup even more important as it pertains to who from the SEC will make it into the playoff this year.
Rounding out the Top 4 is Clemson ranked first, and Ohio State being in third place. The first two out are Notre Dame and Baylor ranked fifth and sixth, respectively.
