The LSU Tigers remains at No. 14 in both major college football polls.
LSU (1-1) dominated Grambling State in a 72-10 victory on Saturday inside Tiger Stadium, but that didn’t change the Tigers position in the polls.
Georgia, Michigan and Florida State remain ranked 1, 2 and 3 in both polls.
The big winner in poll movement were the Texas Longhorns. After beating Alabama 34-24 on Saturday, Texas moved all the way up to No. 4 in the AP Poll and No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Teams that are heading in the opposite directions were Alabama who fell from No. 3 down to No. 10, while fellow SEC West program Texas A&M fell out of the polls after losing 48-33 to Miami.
Tulane — minus starting quarterback Michael Pratt who couldn’t play due to injury — fell 37-20 to Ole Miss on Saturday. That loss dropped the Green Wave out of the polls.
