LSU basketball signee Galen Alexander will more than likely miss the remainder of his senior season with a knee injury, according to Byron Starks, Alexander’s head coach at Lafayette Christian Academy.
The rangy wing suffered an injury to his right knee on Dec. 16, during the first half of a home game versus Carencro. It was believed at the time to just be a sprain, but Starks painted a different picture Friday on “Bumper to Bumper Sports with Ben Love” on 103.7 The Game.
“Unfortunately we did get the report yesterday, and the report showed that Galen does have an ACL injury,” Starks shared. “So he’ll more than likely be out for the rest of the season.”
Alexander originally began his high school career at Breaux Bridge. He is one of two signees in LSU basketball’s Class of 2017, joining Brandon Rachal of Natchitoches Central.
