The LSU Tigers have remained in the Top 25 polls but have fallen five spots to number 18 overall in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

The move comes after LSU lost their season opener 27-20 to the USC Trojans in the Las Vegas Kickoff Classic. The Trojans, who entered that matchup ranked number 23, rose to number 13 in this week’s rankings.

LSU took a late lead 17-13 but struggled down the stretch. The Trojans eventually scored the game-winning touchdown in the final minute to go 1-0.

LSU will try to bounce back with their home opener this Saturday night at 6:30 against Nicholls. You can hear all the action on ESPN 103.7 Lafayette 104.1 Lake Charles.
