If you went to see the LSU Tigers open up their 2015 season against McNeese State, you can get your money back.
LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva announced Tuesday afternoon that refunds will be issued for tickets purchased through the LSU ticket office.
The refund will apply to:
a.) All LSU football season ticketholders, including student season-ticket holders;
b.) All ticketholders who purchased a single-game ticket, a group ticket, or a ticket as part of a package through the LSU ticket office, LSUtix.net or the LSU Ticket Marketplace site.
According to Alleva, the refunds will cost LSU between $1.2 and $3.2 million dollars. He went on to say that the school has an insurance policy, but is uncertain how much will be covered.
The game was halted with 10:08 to play in the first quarter because of lightning in the vicinity of Tiger Stadium. After more lightning strikes and rain during a 3-hour, 46-minute delay, Alleva announced at 10:36 p.m. the game was cancelled and would not be rescheduled.
