The 2020 Louisiana Sports Writers Association announced their All-Louisiana Men’s College Basketball Teams on Tuesday, as LSU’s Skylar Mays and UL’s Jalen Johnson were awarded top honors.

Mays was named LSWA’s Player of the Year after a standout senior year for the Tigers. He averaged a career-high 16.7 points along with five rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Watford was also a second-team selection and recently announced he will be entering the 2020 NBA Draft.

LSU’s Javonte Smart was named to the All-Louisiana third team.

Johnson, the Ragin’ Cajuns junior forward, was named LSWA’s Newcomer of the Year after leading UL with 15.5 points and and 6.6 rebounds per game. He recorded 28 double-digit scoring performances in 33 games for UL.
