The LSU Tigers will head out west for the 2021 season opener.
LSU will open up the football season on Sept. 4 at UCLA at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The matchup will be the first meeting between the Tigers and Bruins.
LSU’s first game inside Tiger Stadium will be a family affair. LSU will host McNeese State on Sept. 11. The Cowboys are coached by former LSU assistant and recruiter Frank Wilson, and their starting quarterback is Cody Orgeron — son of LSU head coach Ed Orgeron.
LSU will then welcome Central Michigan on Sept. 18 in the final non-conference game before the start of Southeastern Conference play. The meeting between the Tigers and Chippewas will be the first.
LSU will open up SEC play at Mississippi State (Sept. 25), followed by a home game against Auburn (Oct. 2), road game at Kentucky (Oct. 9), at home against Florida (Oct. 16), on the road at Ole Miss (Oct.23) and then Alabama (Nov. 6), wrapping up with Texas A&M (Nov. 27) at home.
LSU’s bye will be Oct. 30 and will also host UL-Monroe (Nov. 20) in the final non-conference game of the season.
